Represent the PhD students of your doctoral school: what are you talking about?

At EDISS, there is two PhD students' representatives by year of PhD (D1, D2 et D3), that is six representatives all in all. The PhD students' representatives are elected during the JEDISS of there first year, and so for three years.

What are the roles of a PhD students' representative?

• Be available and listen to PhD students: PhD students' representatives are here to listen to students that have troubles, feel sad or who want to share positive thoughts too!
• Transmit information between PhD students and the EDISS management: communicate prblems, propose projects, share ideas on improvements
• Prepare (with the Direction) and assist to the EDISS Council that is, participate in the decision of the doctoral school using our right to vote
• Welcome students that take the EDISS competition for PhD grants, listen to presentations and check on their smooth completion
• Talk and share ideas with other PhD students' representatives (from other doctoral school in Lyon and/or France) to improve the life and the conditions for PhD students at EDISS
